Paul McCray

Paul B. McCray, Jr., MD, is a physician-scientist and pediatric pulmonologist at the University of Iowa. He serves as the Chief Scientific Officer for the Department of Pediatrics. His laboratory research interests focus on the application of genetic therapies for lung diseases, using gene addition and gene editing approaches. He has published more than 250 scientific articles and reviews and holds several patents.

Dr. McCray is an elected member of ASCI, AAP, AAAS, and the AAM. He holds the Roy

J. Carver Chair in Pulmonary Research. His laboratory is supported by grants from the NIH and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
